What makes this set unique is that the Dimlux is the only ballast that has no inrush current. Normally the inrush current can vary from 50 to 160 amps per digital ballast. Even with newer ballasts with soft start technology, the inrush current is still 50 to 60 amps. This results in a significant amount of current, especially when multiple ballasts are used.

With the Dimlux Maxi Controller, the Dimlux is switched on and adjusted to the desired output, varying from 35 to 100%. In addition, the Maxi Controller can adjust the output to the temperature of the room. When a preset temperature is exceeded, the lights are automatically dimmed. This not only ensures better control over the climate, but also energy savings.

Another advantage of the Maxi Controller is that all DimLuxes can be operated simultaneously. This is especially useful for new plantings, where the light output can be gradually increased. For example, by 10% every day. With a Maxi Controller, as many as 64 DimLuxes can be connected, providing sufficient capacity for large-scale cultivation projects.

Finally, it is possible to simulate sunrise and sunset with the Maxi Controller. This ensures a natural light cycle and stimulates the growth and flowering of the plants.
